Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began at 14 years old. She began training in kickboxing boxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her amateur debut at age 18, at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and then went on to a three-fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in all the fights. Then she returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and beat her in a unanimous decision to put a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd bounced back from defeat by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in the year 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta Fc 11 she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the first round by TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and won via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen used her superior grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her fight via third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). The next fight was against Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) because Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen defeated Hoy and finished her in the second round by KO. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd after 16 seconds, breaking her streak to win. Yana Knitskaya was defeated by Ladd in the third round of UFC 7 on ESPN. For a rematch, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. She was defeated by a unanimous decision.
