Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe is the daughter of an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. Her father and mother have both been English. She was raised on the south London Council Estate and was a student at The Brit School aged 14. She went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an acting BA. She appeared on stage in numerous productions during her time at school like King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting journey began in the series Storm Damage. The actress has been an actor in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was in Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. The following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi part on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe starred as the lead character on How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy released in 2008. Some of her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe had her official US debut in the 2009 Drama series The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. In February of 2011 she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was revealed that Madekwe, who had been a series regular in the previous two seasons had decided to quit the show with a guest appearance on the premiere episode of the new season. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred in the role of Tituba on the show Salem. Then, in June of 2012 the actress was married to her long-time love, actor Iddo Goldberg. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared as partners in Salem.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Her parents, Roy and Patty and her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball parks since the four brothers who were athletic played baseball, hockey, and basketball in summer and winter. Ashley was unable to walk, but danced. In the end, when she turned 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley became a dancer from that moment. Ashley competed in ballet, tap and jazz in the high divisions. Ashley took home the best soloist award at every major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just some.
